Penkridge 10k
A Sell-Out Success!
The Penkridge 10K returned for its second year and once again proved why it’s quickly becoming one of the standout events on the local running calendar. With a sell-out crowd of 1,000 entries, the atmosphere was electric from the start and the day delivered everything runners and spectators could have hoped for – and more.
Despite hot and testing conditions, the determination of the runners shone through, with numerous personal bests achieved across the field. The course, known for its mix of fast sections and gentle undulations, brought out the best in competitors, proving that great performances can happen even under the summer sun.
This year added an extra layer of excitement with a £100 prize on offer for both the male and female winners, provided they broke the existing course records. And the race did not disappoint.

Beyond the performances, the event has earned widespread praise for its flawless organisation, friendly atmosphere and incredible community support. Runners, spectators and volunteers alike commented on the well-marked route, enthusiastic marshals and seamless coordination that made the day run like clockwork.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support of Penkridge Round Table and the dedicated team of volunteers who gave up their time to make the event such a resounding success. Their hard work, smiles and encouragement around the course were the heartbeat of the day.
The Penkridge 10K has well and truly established itself as a must-do event with its fast flat course.
With a perfect blend of competitive spirit and community celebration, we can’t wait to see what Year 3 brings!
