Achieving that new PB

Setting a new personal best is a challenge that requires determination, perseverance, and a willingness to push your limits. It's not always easy, but the feeling of crossing the finish line knowing you've achieved a new PB is incredibly rewarding and empowering.
Where is that new PB

Hello Penkridge Runners,

As your coach, I am proud of the hard work and dedication I see from each and every one of you. It’s inspiring to witness your commitment to improving as runners and athletes. Today, I want to encourage you all to reach for new personal bests and achieve greatness in your running journey.

So, how do we get there?

It starts with believing in yourself and your abilities. Each of you has the potential to reach new heights in your running, and it’s important to approach your training with a positive and determined mindset.

Setting clear and achievable goals is also crucial

Whether it’s improving your 5k time, conquering a marathon, or simply running a faster mile, having a specific target to aim for gives you something to work towards and keeps you focused during your training.

Consistency is key

It’s important to stick to your training plan, stay dedicated to your workouts, and take care of your body with proper rest and recovery. Trust in the process and know that every step you take brings you closer to your goals.

As your coach, I encourage you to mix up your training routine, in the same way we do on a Saturday or a Wednesday. Incorporate speed work, hill repeats, and long runs into your schedule to build strength, endurance, and speed. Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself and push your limits – that’s where growth happens.

I also want to emphasise the importance of supporting each other as a running club should. Penkridge Runners is a family, and we are here to uplift and encourage one another. Whether it’s running together, sharing training tips, or celebrating each other’s successes, we are stronger when we support each other in our running journeys.

So, Penkridge Runners, I challenge you to set your sights on achieving a new personal best. Believe in yourselves, set clear goals, stay consistent, challenge yourselves, and support each other along the way. Your new personal best is within reach – now go out there and make it happen.

Happy running!
