PR Awards Evening 2025
A Night to Remember
Our Awards Evening was a truly special celebration of what makes Penkridge Runners such a remarkable club: dedication, progress, resilience and above an inclusive community.
The room buzzed with laughter, applause and pride as we gathered to celebrate the achievements of our members throughout the year. From personal bests and first races to consistency and quiet acts of encouragement, every award told a story of effort, determination and growth. This evening wasn’t just about finishing times or podium places – it was about recognising the journeys, big and small, that our runners take every week.
What made the night even more meaningful was that the winners were chosen by those who know our runners best: fellow members, run leaders and coaches. That peer recognition gave every award extra weight, reminding us that it’s not only what you achieve that matters, but how you support others along the way.
There were moments of laughter, a few happy surprises and some well-earned emotional applause as names were called and stories were shared.
It was inspiring to see just how much progress has been made across the club and how many people have stepped out of their comfort zones this year – whether that meant running their first 5k, tackling longer distances, returning from injury, or simply showing up every week with a smile.
Above all, the evening celebrated the spirit of Penkridge Runners: inclusive, encouraging and driven by a shared love of running. It reminded us that while running may be an individual sport, our success is built together.
Congratulations to all the winners and huge appreciation to every member who makes this club what it is.
Here’s to another year of goals chased, limits pushed and miles shared – together.
